Lingua Franca AVNI Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced and expressive Pinot from Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, crafted under the guidance of Master Sommelier Larry Stone and Burgundy consultant Dominique Lafon. Sourced from estate and select neighboring vineyards, this wine reflects the region’s cool-climate precision and mineral intensity.

On the nose, expect vibrant aromas of red cherry, wild raspberry, and floral rose petal, alongside subtle earthy and forest floor nuances. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, bright acidity, and layered flavors of plum, cranberry, and spice, culminating in a long, fragrant finish.

Professional Ratings (2022 Vintage highlights):

  • 94 pts – Wine Spectator: Dynamic and precise with expressive raspberry and guava framed by steely acidity and fine-grained tannins; ranked #16 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2025.

  • 94 pts – James Suckling: Pure, focused aromatics of redcurrant and wild raspberry with balanced structure and aging potential.

  • 94 pts – Jeb Dunnuck: (also for 2022) Floral, juicy fresh fruit with chalky texture and attractive balance.

  • 91+ pts – Vinous & Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: Noted for ripe fruit, spice, and lengthy finish with refreshing acidity (scores vary slightly by vintage).

This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, mushroom-based dishes, salmon, and lighter lamb preparations. It’s both approachable now and capable of graceful evolution with a few years of cellar time.
